Our Commitment to Privacy

TrillChat was created with the intention of never collecting or storing any sensitive information. Our objective is to create a simple and private solution that connects the world confidentially. Whether you’re texting with a business or sending a personal message to friends or family, your conversations are safe and secure. TrillChat messages and calls cannot be accessed by us or other third parties because they are always end-to-end encrypted, private, and secure.

  1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Registration Information

To create an account, you must register for our Services using your phone number or email. You agree to receive text messages and phone calls (from us or our third-party providers) with verification codes to register for our Services. Phone numbers and emails are used to provide our Services to you and other TrillChat users. You may optionally add other information to your accounts, such as a profile name and profile picture.

1.2 Location Information

Location Data Collection and Usage

TrillChat collects and uses location information in the following ways:

Foreground Location Access: We access your device’s location when you actively use location-based features such as ride booking and taxi services, logistics and delivery services, airport transfer services, finding nearby locations, and sharing your current location in messages. Background Location Access: We access your location in the background only when you actively choose to share your live location with contacts. This feature allows you to share your real-time location with selected contacts, update your location periodically while the feature is active, and stop sharing at any time.

How We Use Location Data: We use location data to provide accurate pickup and delivery locations for ride and logistics services, to enable real-time location sharing with your contacts (only when you explicitly enable this feature), to improve location-based services and features, and to calculate distances and estimated arrival times.

Location Data Storage: Location data is encrypted and stored securely. Live location data is only stored while the sharing session is active. Historical location data may be retained for a limited period to improve services. You can delete location history at any time through app settings.

Location Data Sharing: Location data is only shared with contacts you explicitly choose to share with. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your location data. Location data is not shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., mapping services).

Your Control: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. You can stop sharing live location at any time through the app. You can choose to use location features only when the app is in use (foreground) or also in the background.

Prominent Disclosure: Before accessing your location in the background, we will show you a prominent disclosure explaining why we need this permission and how it will be used. You must explicitly consent before background location access is enabled.

1.3 Technical Information

Additional technical information is stored on our servers, including randomly generated authentication tokens, keys, push tokens, and other material that is necessary to establish calls and transmit messages. TrillChat limits this additional technical information to the minimum required to operate the Services.

1.4 Contact Information

TrillChat can optionally discover which contacts in your address book are TrillChat users, using a service designed to protect the privacy of your contacts. Information from the contacts on your device may be cryptographically hashed and transmitted to the server in order to determine which of your contacts are registered.

1.5 Support Information

If your contact TrillChat User Support, any personal data you may share with us is kept only for the purposes of researching the issue and contacting you about your case.

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, to authenticate your account and verify your identity, to enable communication between users, to provide location-based services when you request them, to send you service-related notifications, to respond to your support requests, and to detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats.3. Data Security and Encryption

TrillChat embraces privacy by design and does not have the ability to access your messages. All messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted, meaning only you and the recipient can read your messages, we cannot decrypt or access your message content, location data shared in messages is also encrypted, and your data is protected both in transit and at rest.4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We work with third parties to provide some of our Services. For example, our Third-Party Providers send verification codes to your phone number when you register for our Services. These providers are bound by their Privacy Policies to safeguard that information. If you use other Third-Party Services like YouTube, Spotify, Giphy, etc. in connection with our Services, their Terms and Privacy Policies govern your use of those services.

4.2 Location Service Providers

To provide location-based features, we may use third-party mapping and location services (such as Google Maps). These services may collect location data as governed by their respective privacy policies. We only share the minimum location data necessary to provide the requested service.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may share your data to meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, to enforce applicable Terms, including investigation of potential violations, to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues, and to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of TrillChat, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.

  1. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Managing Your Information

You can manage your personal information in TrillChat ‘s application Settings. For example, you can update your profile information, choose to enable additional privacy features, control location sharing settings, delete location history, and manage notification preferences.

5.2 Location Permissions

You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. You can choose to allow location access only when the app is in use (foreground) or also in the background. You can stop sharing live location at any time through the app. Disabling location permissions may limit certain features but will not affect core messaging functionality.

5.3 Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. When you delete your account, your messages and account information will be permanently deleted, location history associated with your account will be deleted, and some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

  1. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Location data from active live location sessions is retained only while the session is active. Historical location data may be retained for a limited period to improve services. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information in accordance with our data retention policies. Some information may be retained longer as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

  1. Children’s Privacy

Age Requirement: To use our services, you must be at least 13 years old. In your native country, the minimum age to use our Services without parental consent may be greater. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.

  1. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your country. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  1. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We will update this privacy policy as needed so that it is current, accurate, and as clear as possible. Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our updated Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any material changes to this Privacy Policy.

10.1 Account Registration

You must use our Services according to our Terms and posted policies. If we disable your account for a violation of our Terms, you will not create another account without our permission.

10.2 Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for legal, authorized, and acceptable purposes. You will not use (or assist others in using) our Services in ways that violate or infringe the rights of TrillChat, our users, or others, including privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other proprietary rights, or involve sending illegal or impermissible communications such as bulk messaging, auto-messaging, and auto-dialing.

10.3 Prohibited Activities

You must not (or assist others to) access, use, modify, distribute, transfer, or exploit our Services in unauthorized manners, or in ways that harm TrillChat, our Services, or systems. For example, you must not gain or try to gain unauthorized access to our Services or systems, disrupt the integrity or performance of our Services, create accounts for our Services through unauthorized or automated means, collect information about our users in any unauthorized manner, or sell, rent, or charge for our Services.

10.4 Service Availability

Our Services may be interrupted, including for maintenance, upgrades, or network or equipment failures. We may discontinue some or all of our Services, including certain features and support for certain devices and platforms, at any time.

10.5 Device and Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your device and your TrillChat account safe and secure. If you lose your phone, follow the steps on our Support site to re-register for our Services. When you register with a new device, your old device will stop receiving all messages and calls.

10.6 Emergency Services

TrillChat Services do not provide access to emergency service providers like the police, fire department, hospitals, or other public safety organizations. Make sure you can contact emergency service providers through a mobile, fixed-line telephone, or other service.

10.7 Third-Party Services

Our Services may allow you to access, use, or interact with third-party websites, apps, content, and other products and services. When you use third-party services, their terms and privacy policies govern your use of those services.

10.8 Intellectual Property

You own the information you submit through our Services. You must have the rights to the phone number or email you use to sign up for your TrillChat account. All copyrights, trademarks, domain names, logos, trade dress, trade secrets, patents, and other intellectual property rights relating to our Services are owned by us. Unless you have our written permission, you may not utilize our copyrights, trademarks, domain names, logos, trade dress, patents, or other intellectual property rights.

TrillChat grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use our Services in accordance with these Terms.

10.9 Limitations and Disclaimers

YOU USE OUR SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK AND ARE BOUND BY THE DISCLAIMERS BELOW. WE PROVIDE OUR SERVICES “AS IS,” WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FREEDOM FROM COMPUTER VIRUS OR OTHER HARMFUL CODE. TRILLAPP DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY US IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR USEFUL, OR THAT OUR SERVICES WILL BE OPERATIONAL, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR SAFE, OR THAT THEY WILL FUNCTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTIONS, DELAYS, OR IMPERFECTIONS. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER HOW OR WHEN OUR USERS USE OUR SERVICES, AND WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR USERS’ OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES’ ACTIONS OR INFORMATION (INCLUDING CONTENT). YOU RELEASE US, OUR AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AND AGENTS (COLLECTIVELY, “TRILLAPP PARTIES”) FROM ANY CLAIM, COMPLAINT, CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY, OR DISPUTE (COLLECTIVELY, “CLAIM”) AND DAMAGES, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, RELATING TO, ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY IN CONNECTION WITH OUR TERMS, US, OR OUR SERVICES.

Liability is limited: EVEN IF THE TRILLAPP PARTIES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, THE TRILLAPP PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY LOST PROFITS OR CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INDIRECT, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RELATING TO, ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY IN CONNECTION WITH OUR TERMS, US, OR OUR SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH, ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO OUR TERMS, US, OR OUR SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). THE FOREGOING LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMER OF CERTAIN DAMAGES WILL APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. SOME OR ALL OF THE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS SET FORTH ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU BECAUSE THE LAWS OF SOME STATES OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. DISREGARDING ANYTHING IN OUR TERMS TO THE CONTRARY, IN SUCH CASES, THE TRILLAPP PARTIES’ LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

10.10 General Terms

TrillChat may update the Terms from time to time. When we update our Terms, we will update the “Last Modified” date associated with the updated Terms. Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our updated Terms and supersedes any prior Terms. You will comply with all applicable export control and trade sanctions laws. Our Terms cover the entire agreement between you and TrillChat regarding our Services. If you do not agree with our Terms, you should stop using our Services.

If we fail to enforce any of our Terms, that does not mean we waive the right to enforce them. If any provision of the Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from our Terms and shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions. Our Services are not intended for distribution to or use in any country where such distribution or use would violate local law or would subject us to any regulations in another country. We reserve the right to limit our Services in any country.

  1. User Data Policy11.1 Data Access and Collection

TrillChat accesses and collects the following types of data:

  • Account Information: Phone number or email address, profile name, and profile picture (optional)
  • Location Data: Precise location data (foreground and background) for location-based services and live location sharing
  • Contact Information: Hashed contact information to identify which of your contacts use TrillChat
  • Technical Data: Authentication tokens, encryption keys, push notification tokens, and device identifiers
  • Communication Data: Messages, calls, and shared media (all end-to-end encrypted)

11.2 Location Data Disclosure

TrillChat collects and uses location data to provide the following services:

  • Ride Booking Services: To determine pickup and delivery locations, calculate fares, and provide navigation
  • Logistics Services: To track deliveries and provide real-time location updates
  • Live Location Sharing: To share your real-time location with selected contacts when you explicitly enable this feature
  • Location-Based Features: To help you find nearby services, businesses, and points of interest

Location data is collected both when the app is in use (foreground) and in the background (only when live location sharing is active). Background location access requires your explicit consent through a prominent disclosure dialog. You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings.

11.3 Data Usage

We use the collected data to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, authenticate your account, enable communication between users, provide location-based services, send service-related notifications, respond to support requests, and detect and prevent security threats.

11.4 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or content. Location data is only shared with contacts you explicitly choose to share with. We may share data with third-party service providers necessary to provide our Services (such as mapping services), and as required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

12. Child Safety Standards   – TrillChat explicitly prohibits Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Any content or behavior that endangers children is banned and will be removed. – Prohibited content and behaviors include:   – Child sexual abuse materials of any kind   – Child grooming (including befriending a child online to facilitate sexual contact or exchange of sexual imagery)   – Sexualization of a minor or portraying children in a manner that could result in sexual exploitation   – Sextortion (threatening or blackmailing a child using real or alleged access to intimate images)   – Trafficking of a child (advertising or solicitation for commercial sexual exploitation)   – Inappropriate interaction targeted at a child (e.g., groping or caressing) – Enforcement and reporting:   – We remove CSAE content upon obtaining actual knowledge, consistent with applicable laws.   – We may report confirmed child sexual abuse materials to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority.   – If a child is in danger, contact local law enforcement immediately. – In‑app reporting and feedback:   – You can report abusive behavior using “Report contact” from a user profile within the app    – You can also report posts using the report option where available.   – For urgent concerns about CSAE or to reach our child safety point of contact, email [email protected] . – Scope:   – These standards apply to all users and content on TrillChat. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent bans.
